Biesse, a global leader and manufacturer of integrated lines and machines to process wood, glass, stone, plastic and composite materials, recently organised its flagship event, Inside Biesse 2024, at Biesse India’s Bengaluru showroom.
The 3-day event attracted a significant number of visitors, offering industry professionals, woodworking enthusiasts and furniture manufacturers an unparalleled opportunity to explore Biesse’s latest advancements, and capabilities in technologies and machinery.
The chief guests for the first day were Narsi D. Kularia, Managing Director of Narsi Group, and Jagdish Kularia, Director of Narsi Group.
Recalling the transition from hand-crafted furniture to the precision of modern machines, Narsi said: “We are honoured to be a part of celebrating the remarkable evolution of woodworking here at ‘Inside Biesse’, largely due to the innovative work of Biesse India.”
Souma Ray, Director of Sales and Business Development at Biesse India, made a presentation highlighting a significant milestone achieved by the company this year: the successful export of 10,000 machines to more than 75 countries worldwide.

Gopal Dwivedi from Livspace delivered an insightful session on ‘Multi-Materiality’ and the trends and innovations in modern materials. Rahul Mehta, CEO of the Furniture and Fittings Skills Council (FFSC) shared his opinion on “why the power of collaboration is essential to harness the power of skills.”
Chintan Parekh, Joint Secretary of the Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Traders (AFMT) of India, delivered the keynote address on ‘Awareness of Bureau of Indian Standards’.
A highlight of the event was the launch of Biesse’s latest edge banding solutions, the Akron 1300 and Akron 1400, proudly made in India for both domestic and global markets. These machines, integrated with advanced automation features, received appreciation from the attendees.
Advanced technologies on display included 5-axes CNC machining, nesting, edge banding, cutting, sizing and drilling. Biesse is now positioned as a one-stop destination for multi-material solutions, including the aerospace and energy sectors, through its advanced technology offerings.
