An initiative of Kleiberit’s India team, the participants comprised employees and business partners and focused on introducing advanced technologies in polyurethane (PUR) adhesives, profile wrapping, and flat lamination specifically tailored for woodworking applications.
The sessions were structured over 3 days, each dedicated to exploring different aspects of Kleiberit’s adhesive solutions. The training commenced with a detailed examination of edge banding techniques, where participants gained insights into the application of EVA and polyurethane hot-melts.
Practical scenarios and market-specific considerations were extensively discussed to enhance practical understanding.
The focus shifted to profile wrapping, highlighting products like Kleiberit 702.8.08 and 702.4.07, pivotal for indoor applications in the Indian market. The session emphasized optimal application methods and showcased the unique advantages offered by Kleiberit’s solutions.
The training then progressed to flat lamination technologies, introducing participants to Kleiberit’s 706.1 series and innovations such as 706.1.50, featuring micro-emission technology. Discussions included industry standards and addressed challenges encountered during application processes, offering practical solutions and insights.
In the final phase of the training, attention turned to advanced topics such as bonding techniques for sandwich panels, encompassing honeycomb and mineral wool variants. David and Holger underscored the company’s commitment to sustainability by presenting bio-based and recycled material adhesives as strategic directions for future-proof solutions.
Feedback from participants highlighted the training’s effectiveness in bridging knowledge gaps and expanding understanding of Kleiberit’s product range. Ashish Rawat from MS Klebistoff commented positively, noting that while newer team members benefited from learning about innovative products, long-standing participants appreciated the reinforcement of existing knowledge and explored new applications.
