100 years on, Häfele experimenting for the future

Häfele’s interplay of furniture and lighting makes possible numerous applications in the kitchen, living and bedroom.

Häfele, the specialist for intelligent hardware and fitting systems, lighting and electronic access control systems, has developed into an internationally operating full-range supplier, offering furniture, light or networked solutions parallel with the company’s consulting and services.

The company is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and the Häfele trade fair team showcased a look into the future with its versatile presentation at Interzum.

The multi-award-winning online brand world (Häfele Discoveries) made the innovations and new products tangible and provides numerous updates and extras for the trade fair. Other exciting areas such as office, micro living, home office, hotel or caravanning opened up the entire spectrum of the Häfele world to visitors.

In kitchens as well as in living room and bedroom furniture, there are numerous possible applications as far as the interplay of furniture and lighting is concerned. Thanks to its product range, furniture and room light can be thought of and implemented together for all usage scenarios in the form of networked room solutions.

At the Häfele booth, this was demonstrated by the light subject area, where products which integrate light in furniture, the interplay of lighting and materials, or atmospheric light scenarios using room light on the booth make this connection tangible.

The product show was accompanied by a virtual reality experience: the Häfele Blackbox, the new light showroom from Häfele.

The equipping of kitchens was demonstrated in a similarly comprehensive way and showed what is possible with the Häfele product range: from lighting to fittings such as innovative flap fitting solutions or drawer systems, handle collections, sinks or splash-back panels to electrical appliances and waste separation systems.

With FreeSlim, Häfele presented an innovative slim flap fitting family which does not only merge with the cabinet and becomes virtually “invisible”, but also drastically reduces the number of variants, thanks to the patented spring technology.
