Hettich bets on intelligent motion for evolving interiors

Engineered for fluidity, RoomSpin allows spaces to be reconfigured on demand.

Hettich redefined the possibilities of modern living and working environments with a showcase built around the theme ‘Transforming Spaces with Innovative Motion’. Over 4 days at Interzum, the brand demonstrated how its future-forward fittings are enabling furniture to adapt seamlessly to contemporary demands of flexibility, functionality and intelligent design.

A key highlight was Hettich’s new line of smart fittings that blend refined engineering with practical everyday use. The Avosys hinge, developed for glass and mirrored surfaces, offered a sleek, discreet mounting solution that enhances interior aesthetics.

The SAH 500 suspension bracket, built for heavier cabinetry, underlined the company’s focus on durability and safety without design compromise. Meanwhile, the AvanTech You ‘Illumination’ system introduced a new level of personalisation, allowing users to control dynamic lighting transitions within drawers, integrating ambience with utility.

In a bold move toward transformable design, Hettich unveiled its SpinLine series, led by RoomSpin, a swivelling and rotating system that brings movement into interiors.

Engineered for fluidity, RoomSpin enables furniture to adapt and reorient within space, offering designers new tools for working with compact homes and flexible commercial zones. This innovation allows spaces to be reconfigured on demand, giving rise to multifunctional environments that shift with user needs.

Hettich also addressed the changing workplace through its Flexible Workspace concept. Demonstrations included movable walls, extendable desks, acoustic treatments, and integrated whiteboards, creating spaces that could switch effortlessly between collaboration, focus, and presentation modes.

This modular approach supports evolving workstyles and underlines Hettich’s vision of workplaces as dynamic ecosystems.

Another area of focus was technology integration. QR-coded guides and augmented reality tools offered interactive installation support, while a new 3D printing portal allowed users to download component templates, paving the way for faster prototyping and personalized design elements.

Hettich’s presence at Interzum 2025 wasn’t limited to innovation – the participation of its India leadership team reflected the company’s commitment to regional markets and evolving customer needs.
