The Indian Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers’ and Traders’ Association (IWMMTA) marked its presence at the inaugural edition of KolkataWood 2025, held from 12-14 September at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, Kolkata.
As a first-time initiative in eastern India, KolkataWood provided a fresh platform for woodworking professionals, machinery suppliers and technology providers to connect with the rapidly growing furniture and woodworking ecosystem in the region.
IWMMTA proudly supported the show and ensured the representation of its members, highlighting the association’s commitment to strengthening the industry across India.
Several IWMMTA members actively participated at the exhibition as exhibitors and visitors, engaging with peers, exploring new opportunities, and showcasing the strength and unity of the association. The event proved to be a valuable platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and understanding the evolving demands of the eastern Indian woodworking and furniture market.
The effort and support extended by NürnbergMesse India, the organizers of KolkataWood, was commendable, and IWMMTA appreciates their dedication to launch this new platform in eastern India.
With constructive feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike, we are confident that future editions will be fine-tuned to achieve greater impact and participation.
With the successful launch of its debut edition, KolkataWood has set the stage for new growth opportunities in the East.
IWMMTA remains committed to encouraging its members to leverage such platforms, while also working closely with organizers to strengthen the value proposition for exhibitors and visitors alike.
The association now looks forward with great enthusiasm to the next big event, IndiaWood 2026 in Bengaluru, where IWMMTA will continue to play a pivotal role in uniting and empowering the woodworking machinery and furniture manufacturing ecosystem.
