Automation to VR, Homag shows it all

Homag’s intelligent virtual platform provides companies with the capability to plan and present factory layouts, production solutions and logistics processes in 3D and virtual reality.

A special highlight at the Homag India stand at IndiaWood 2025 was the presentation of the iVP (intelligent virtual platform), a real-time, 3D software that provides companies with the capability to plan and present factories, machines and logistics processes in 2D, 3D and virtual reality.

The iVP allows users to explore production solutions and machinery in an immersive 3D space, offering a unique perspective on operational efficiencies. It offers significant advantages for users, enabling them to view every aspect of a production process with precision.

This interactive experience facilitates a deeper understanding of the machine and production plant details, enhancing decision-making capabilities and operational planning.

Among the showcased machines was the DrillTeq H-230, which could be examined in detail within the virtual environment. It exemplifies advanced engineering in drilling technology, specifically designed for complex 6-sided operations.

The ability to process two workpieces simultaneously offers unparalleled flexibility, enhancing the machine’s value for enterprises focused on precision and efficiency.

The SawTeq S-180 panel dividing machine is engineered to provide an efficient workflow that significantly enhances productivity. Its user-friendly interface allows operators to navigate the machine seamlessly, enabling real-time adjustments and performance optimisation.

The SawTeq S-180 increases production capacity and handles high volume demand without sacrificing quality, offering improved efficiency and profitability.

The EdgeTeq S-380 is a powerhouse of flexibility and precision in edge banding technology. Equipped with the intuitive powerTouch control system, this machine allows operators to manage functions effortlessly via a widescreen multi-touch monitor.

Its universal gluing unit facilitates seamless transitions between various edge materials – including PUR cartridges and EVA granulate, melamine and solid strips – ensuring high-quality finishes with zero joint perfection.

Designed for small to medium-sized cabinet furniture workshops, the CentaTeq P-100 CNC processing center offers reliability and productivity in a compact design. Its automatic tool changer and integrated tool management system optimize CNC operations, delivering consistent precision and maximizing output.

This machine stands out for its versatile processing capabilities, including routing up to 1,600 mm and a software-optimized working field. Variable speed control and customizable configurations ensure the machine can handle a variety of materials and project requirements.

Features like the spindle lock and pneumatic advance contribute to precision and durability, making the CentaTeq P-100 an ideal choice for enterprises seeking efficient and operator-friendly solutions.

Among other machines on display were Homag’s K32 table saw; edge banding machine EdgeTeq S-230 and S-356; the space saving CNC drilling machine, DrillTeq V-200; the automatic Makor spray printer for doors; the IronWood S125 two-head sander; and IronWood SLR 305 rip saw.
